Ross's "ONE OF A KIND CREATIONS"

My husband always amazes me when he creates works of art from pieces that are found when junking. This lamp is his work of art today. The lamp shade was found at St vincent Depaul store. Originally was a hanging lamp. The base is an old piano stool bottom. He knew just what to do when he found the old piano stool. I think Ill keep this one for now. Its so hard to sell his work when he only makes one of a kinds, because theres only one of them, one for me, none for you, sorry. If he finds another top and botton like this then I could sell it. Well , maybe?. Its so hard when everything he makes I fall in love with. Well I hope you like it as much as I do. We have had many customers request things to be made by my husband. He had made a bench out of a baby crib that the customer wanted to keep (memories) so kids grown up, no need for the crib, so a bench was born from it. Wonderful keepsake in her home now. so theres an idea for you. Take care.

AWESOME GARDEN ADDITION

Good morning to all, What a beautiful morning here at the farm. Its gonna be a hot one today. Just hate when I can't have windows open to have that gentle breeze dance through my house with music of just birds and mother nature. Here are a few pics of a garden at a friend Kathy's farm. She has a beautiful landscape of wonderful flower gardens. I have this pic of a tub that she created for one of her gardens. It has the tub which was her fathers as a child growning up (used for his bathing then) and attached is a water pump that trickles water out. Very nice touch. Enjoy the day.

Our First antique show

Hello to all. Well Ive been busy as usual. We decided to try an antique/flea market this past Saturday. Wow, what a lot of work. Not just the day of, but having to prepare the days before too. The weather was hot and it was miserable! It was a show that started at 5 pm til midnite. We were told that it was a good show to be in so we gave it a try. We thought that it was not as good of a show as we have seen at others. We will not be going to that one again. We will be trying another few before we do give up and decide that its to much work. Met alot of wonderful people however. I am also redoing my laundry room (painting, flooring) Almost done there. Now its onto the Kitchen with painting. Hope everyone is staying cool and dry these summer days. As you can see Ive figured out a few new things on this blog. I knew after playing around with this I would eventually figure it out. Well its late here and I should be getting to bed. Have a great week everyone. Here is a pic of our first trade show. Shows just half of what we had there.

Another great find.

Hi again, forgot that I didnt post this pic of another great find. The quilt behind the horse is called a sunflower pattern. I fell in love with it at first site. This quilt I picked up a few weeks ago. I have a thing for textiles, can you tell? I have another quilt that is so unusual, the lady had made sure to leave a note attached to the quilt and a card that was dated in the late 1800's about the quilt. Peaked your interest yet? I will try to get it on the blog soon. Patience now. Have a nice eve. take care.

Also fould this smaller yarn winder. Has a wonderful shade of patina. Well thats all for now. Have a good evening. Take care.

My office is just packed with inventory to get out on the floor. Spent all of today reaaranging a few rooms. Not done yet. Here is a pic of the old pie safe that we repainted and fixed up.
